In this series, I approach the Afro-Brazilian ceremonial hall as a space where reality expands. Driven by the accelerating beat of the drums, the room builds a collective energy, a cosmic pressure cooker that opens the gateway for the Orixás to descend directly into the human realm. Through trance and worship, the photographs track the dance between our physical world and the invisible presence of the ancestors. These images capture a pure manifestation of belief; these are not relics of the past, but ancient rituals acted out in the present day.
